Heavy Metal
When I was a child I hated rock music of any kind. I grew up with Mozart and Bach, for crying out loud! Of course there had to be a little bit of ABBA, but that was a must for a Swedish young girl such as myself. Besides, that was pop music... Rock music started with the death of Elvis back in 1977, and moved on with David Bowie in 1980. I didn't however start liking the heavier stuff until I was way past 30. Scorpions, as a careful start, moving on with Kiss, and then I just hit it off with any music that rocked my world - Ozzy Osbourne, Nirvana, Korn, Metallica, Sabaton, Rammstein, you name it. As much as I can float away while listening to other types of music, this kind is hands on loud and clear back to front and no sides type of music. A rock ballad can take me away, yes, but the loud and ugly gets me started. It's my fire breathing, the music I listen to when I need focus, attitude and confidence. Listening to heavy metal makes me invincible! The very best time to listen to heavy metal is when I clean the house. I absolutely loath vacuuming! I try to put it off for as long as possible, but when the dust rats start waltzing across the floor - it's time... Headphones plugged into my iPhone, more volume than what's good for you, and I'm on it. My family look strangely at me as I dance with the vacuum cleaner from room to room, shaking both my hips and my head. Come on y'all, anyone can use a little head banging every now and then!
